Lisette and Rahul met in October of 2011, while attending business school at San Francisco, California. At the time, both of them were full time students who were in the same team group: E-lemonators.

In a class full of students from different parts of the world, Lisette and Rahul started a friendship, which later would develop into a fruitful and loving relationship. Rahul distinctly remembers the moment he first saw Lisette, how he was immediately taken by her, not only by her stunning natural beauty, but by the warmth of her smile. Lisette remembers seeing a man with honest eyes and powerful knowledge which she found intriguing.

After graduation, Rahul stayed at San Francisco and Lisette went back to Lima, Peru. Even though they were 4,565 miles from each other, they kept their relationship. However, after being away from each other for almost 3 years, they decided it was time for them to be together permanently. Rahul popped the question in early 2016, and Lisette said “Yes!”.

They officially got married on October 24th of 2016 at the city where they fell in love, San Francisco. Thereafter, both of them decided to celebrate their love with friends and family from both countries who could not come to their elopement, and the wedding organization for India and Peru began.

Although for many, this union would look different and difficult to manage with families from different cultures and religions, for them is just a piece of cake.
